.......Congradulations to Team Shell for a safe 2008 MS 150 ride and to all our volunteers for their help......

While a hefty headwind made it more challenging this year, it was a fine ride and thanks to all who participated and volunteered for Team Shell to make this weekend a success.

We are still short of reaching Team Shell's fundraising target, so after relaxing to recover from the weekend ride, please continue your efforts to solicit contributions for a cure to MS. The cutoff date for the 2008 BP MS 150 fundraising is May 13.

Team Shell will be 350 strong in 2008, approximately 35% larger than in 2007 and more than double the size of that in 2006! Registration for the ride reached 13,000 in just 11 days and is now closed. The Team Shell Planning Committee (TSPC) has been meeting to plan for the coming year that includes new rider orientation, bike safety classes, training rides, social events, fundraising goals, etc. This information will be communicated to Team Members by Newsletter and posted on this website. The objective is for everyone on the team to have a safe and fun ride while raising money to fight MS.

Congratulations to YOU and Team Shell for an outstanding 2007 ride! 

  • As a team, we officially raised $190,028 for the Lone Star Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  The 2007 MS150 goal was to raise a total of $12 million dollars - and they easily succeeded.  We more than doubled our 2006 total – great job!!!
  • Team Shell was awarded the 2007 Mission Possible Award and Safety Award at the MS150 Awards Party.  The Mission Possible Award goes to teams that have raised at least $85K.  Thanks to all of you who safely trained and participated in the MS150.  Your hard work paid off!  Over 95% of our team was safety certified!  Again, well done!

Much of the information presented on this website at this time was setup for the 2007 ride and is in the process of being updated as more information on the 2008 MS150 ride and associated events becomes available.
