NEW!!!
Mentoring Program |
|
As a
service to assist and integrate new cyclists into our
team, we are introducing a rider mentoring program this
year. Mentors would be available to advise new riders
on preparing and training for the MS150 and what to
expect on the two-day ride. The program will rely on
the participation of both new and experienced riders and
will be a key step towards ensuring the safety of our
riders throughout the training series and the MS150
ride.
If
you're a new cyclist seeking a mentor or if you're
experienced and willing to help a teammate, please
learn more and to register for the Team Shell mentoring
program.

Safety Requirements |

The
goal for Team Shell is to complete the 2009 MS150
training and Houston-to-Austin ride with Zero
Incidents. Towards this goal, all riders
on Team Shell must meet the following two safety
requirements:
Requirement 1: Every rider must
have completed at
least one on-bike safety training class
since January 1,
2006. Riders residing more than 75
miles outside
Downtown Houston
may watch this
online
Safety Video as
a substitute.
The dates for on-bike safety training which will be
offered for free by Team Shell are as follows:
Location and registration details will follow in
January. If you require training and you're unable to
make one of these dates, similar classes will be
offered by the MS Society and local bike shops,
albeit for a small fee. We will keep you informed of
such opportunities when dates/locations are announced.
Requirement 2: Every rider must
complete the National MS Society's online safety quiz. The
link to the quiz will be announced as
soon as it's made available.
Our goal is to achieve 100% compliance. We're
counting on you to do your part.
