Captain's Corner - Safety First

This week's Newsletter contains important information. Please read it in its entirety.

If you're still unaware of our mandatory safety requirements by now, this is the time to visit our safety webpage. I am very concerned that our records show that nearly 70 riders of those requiring training are yet to sign up for an on-bike safety class. If you're one of those 70, please enroll in one of the two remaining classes offered by Team Shell.  Alternatively, you may enroll in a class offered by the MS Society, local Bike Shop, or another MS150 team. Visit the team safety webpage for more details and for instructions on how to let us know once you've completed a non-Shell class.

I cannot stress strongly enough the importance of compliance, driven by our genuine concern for your safety as well as the safety of the 13,000 riders who will be around you during the MS150.  Please take personal responsibility and help us avoid having to resort to extreme measures, such as those recently adopted by other MS150 teams.

If you're uncertain about your current safety standing, be on the look for a separate e-mail from me in the next couple of days to let you know where you stand.

CP Training Series

This weekend's CP training ride has been changed to start from Sun & Ski at Katy Mills, at 7.30am, due to construction work around Royal Highschool. The weather forecast looks great - approx 60F at the start and warming up into the mid 70's by late morning.  Don't overdress - I would not go for anything more than shorts and short sleeve jersey.

Always check the official CP website for directions and up to the minute updates about this series.
