rides in and around the Houston area that have been scheduled in 2009 after the
2009 MS 150 through October, 2009. We will list rides as we become aware of them. Please feel

you thru the rolling hills of Fayette and Colorado Counties showcasing

Week long ride from Houston to New Orleans.
One day ride to Beaumont on May 3 is also available.

at Colorado County Beason's Park on the east bank of the Colorado River.

If your idea of fun is to spend the day on your bicycle traveling
through scenic and historic areas then we have the adventure for you.
Join us for the 4th Annual Spindletop Spin! All proceeds benefit the
Jefferson County Bar Association Foundation – Pro Bono Program which
provides free legal services to those in need.
Approximate Distances: 70 miles (7:00 am), 43 miles
(7:30 am), 33 miles (7:30 am) and 0 miles (8:00 am)

Approximate distances - 8, 25,
35, 50, & 75 miles. Benefits Fayetteville School & Fayetteville Chamber of
Commerce. Free BBQ Lunch for riders 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at St. Johns

June 14, 2009:
Tour de Braz

Alvin
The ride will
begin and end at Alvin Community College (ACC) which is located at 3110
Mustang Rd. Alvin, Texas. On site registration begins at 6:00 am at ACC.
Tour de Braz offers 5 five non-competitive routes throughout beautiful
Brazoria County. Choices are a 10, 30, 50, 62, or 100 mile route. The ride
will begin at ACC at 7:00 am.
June 14, 2009:
Tour de
Pearl - Prairie View
Will include a 25, 45 and 62
mile ride for cyclists of all levels. TOUR de PEARL
is sponsored by the Accomplishers, which is a non-profit organization that
provides scholarships to students of all ages and all fields of study.
June 20, 2009:
Paws & Puddles - LaMarque
An MS-150 recommended ride,
with proceeds benefitting the Animal Alliance of Galveston County. There
will be 10, 40, and 60-mile routes. A t-shirt is guaranteed for all
pre-registered riders. Fresh fruit, banana bread and other goodies will
be available at each rest stop. Lunch will be served to all registered
riders at Gulf Greyhound Park after the ride.
July 4, 2009, Sat:
Burn Your Buns -
Conroe.
The start of the race will
begin at Bridgewood Farms at 7:30 am and will end at Bridgewood Farms.
There will be routes offered for the 20, 31, and 62 mile rides. After the
ride, hot dogs and drinks are available for your pleasure. Cost for the
ride will be: Pre-registration - $30.00, single and $50 for family. A
family consists of parents and their immediate children, under 18.
Registration closes on June 30, 2009 for the pre-registration rate. All
pre-registered will receive our famous "TYE DYED" TEE SHIRT. Cost at day
of event will be $40.00. T-Shirts will be on availability at day of ride.
"Remember, this is a Charity Event" and the clients of Bridgewood Farms

Start (7:00am) is from Rhodes Stadium just North of
Interstate 10 in Katy, 15 miles west of Beltway 8. Routes: 30, 40, 55, 70,
85, and 100 miles. First 1500 registered riders guaranteed an event
T-shirt and a water bottle.

House Tour d Autism - New Waverly
Supports the Sean Ashley
House, located in Houston, which is a Texas not-for-profit organization
designed to provide "model" homes for individuals with autism, blindness,
mental retardation and/or multiple disabilities. A wonderfully scenic ride
through the pinesof the Sam Houston National Forest. Four routes to choose
from: 13 mile Family, 30 mile Beginner, 60 mile intermediate and 90 mile
Advanced.

- Wichita Falls
Hotter 'N Hell Hundred and the
cycling community of
America can look forward to continued
innovation in 2009, GPS mapping, and changes to Hell’s Gate. Riders and
racers from all over the
USA will celebrate the 28th annual Hotter 'N
Hell Hundred. Hotter 'N Hell Hundred will continue to excite record
numbers of participants and add to their fitness experience. The Hotter
'N Hell Hundred is one of the oldest and largest cycling events in the
nation. Endurance cyclists will face wind and heat with the help of 4,000
event volunteers on routes up to 100 miles.

Tour de Pink

The annual Tour de Pink is a
very special event benefiting the Pink Ribbons Project to fight breast
cancer through awareness and education programs and the support of proper
screening for the medically
underserved. Join Shell teammates and thousands of other riders this year
as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Tour de Pink. Routes are
available for all levels: 12, 23, 47, 63, 80 and 100 miles!

This event offers a great
day of cycling and fun through beautiful country, as well as the
personal satisfaction of completing a ride and doing your part in the
fight against diabetes. Whether you're a novice, an occasional rider or
expert cyclist, we have a route that matches your ability - 15, 32, 64
and 100 miles.

Imagine miles of rolling hills and thickly
wooded forests! The Pineywoods Purgatory - one of the fall's premier
cycling events - offers four rides ranging from 25 to 102 miles that take
you through Texas Forest Country's best!
October 3-4, 2009, Sat:
Bike MS: Valero 2009 Alamo Ride to the River -
San Antonio
Cyclists will roll out of
the Alamodome in San Antonio at 7:30 am on October 3. Participants will
enjoy a ride past historic landmarks including the Alamo and through
Fort Sam Houston, take a spin along smooth roads with picturesque
country views through La Vernia, Seguin, Gruene and end at the new
Overnight Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels. (Notea; The
Schlitterbahn Waterpark rides will not be open during the event
weekend). On Sunday,cyclists will depart at 7:30 am from Schlitterbahn
and loop back to the Alamodome for a Finish Line celebration.
October 10, 2009, Sat:
Pedal Palacios
- Palacois, TX
Scenic routes with views of
the water. Quiet country roads. Choose from four routes: 60 miles, 50
miles, 35 miles and 15 miles. The ride is sponsored by the Palacios
Beautification Committee. All proceeds will benefit the Palacios Hike
and Bike Trails. MS 150 Recommended Ride
October 10-11, 2009, Sat:
Lyondell Bike Around the Bay
- Anahuac
The LyondellBasell Bike Around the Bay is a
fun two day, 148 mile bicycle ride around Galveston Bay showcasing the
natural beauty of Galveston Bay and benefiting the Galveston Bay
Foundation. The ride will start in Anahuac, Texas and continue along
a scenic route that includes many fascinating sights and highlights.
Riders will spend the night in Galveston where they will enjoy an informal
Beach Party at Moody Gardens' Palm Beach. Day 2 will bring the
riders north along the west side of Galveston Bay where they will
ultimately finish outside of Baytown, Texas.

Weimaride - Weimar, TX
Rides begin by the gazebo in front of the
Weimar Public Library. Scenic routes - 13.5, 34, 47 and 63 miles.
Well supported and lunch included after the ride.

Livestrong Challenge - Austin
The LIVESTRONG Challenge is the Lance Armstrong
Foundation's signature fundraising event inspired by hope, courage and the
perseverance of Lance and the nearly 12 million Americans affected by
cancer. We take to the streets on bicycles and on our feet, uniting
individuals to stand together to fight cancer. 10, 21, 45, 65 or 90
mile ride options with a start/finish at the Capitol steps.
